Enom is open to Fraud
Well I’m an active buyer on Namejet and a lot of the names that i buy go directly to enom. Personally, I see no reason to pay $35 to renew domain names that I’ve won at enom. So, I’ve been transferring them out to my Registrar. Well sure enough, as i was doing my transfers, I found it a bit irritating and annoying that my domains were still showing up in my enom control panel after they’ve been transfered.
I’ve called enom’s support and have asked about it a few times. The response that i got was “Oh don’t worry about it, they will go away within time.” Well guess what? Here’s the BIG RED FLAG!!! You can still transfer the name to another enom account after the name has been ported over to another registrar. So what does that mean? You can have an unethical seller, sell you a name that doesn’t truly exist with enom and you can be hung left to dry.
I urgently told the support team to have this fixed. Hopefully they will have this bug fixed soon. So, in the mean time hold off from buying domains from enom account holders, unless know the seller’s reputation. Another method would be to use a safe escrow company like escrowDNS.com that does a full escrow service.
